About

I am a twenty-something student working on an MSc. in linguistics, and I like to run. I was raised in California, did my undergrad in Canada, and am now in Scotland working on my masters. I am a curvy woman and a carb lover by  nature, so I don’t have the physique of a natural runner, but I do it anyway and find it makes me feel strong, healthy, and badass. Expect to find on this blog long-winded descriptions of my workouts, excessively nerdy discussions of linguistics, and general musings on the life of an academic runner.

Other personal details that will undoubtedly influence my writing here: I am a feminist, atheist, socialist, registered democrat, tattoo’d/pierced lady, tea drinker, animal lover, voracious napper, flexitarian.
